The Pana’ewa Stampede Rodeo is held at the Pana’ewa Equestrian Center in Hilo, Hawaii

From the Hotels or Airport, take Highway 11 (Kanoelehua Avenue) towards Volcano. Just past the 4-mile marker, make a right hand turn.

From Volcano, Keaau or Paho, turn left on Mamaki St. another left on Stainback Hwy.

JJ HARRISON – Professional Rodeo Clown

JJ Harrison, the nationally know Rodeo Clown, returns to Pana’ewa ieach February.  Keeping the audiences entertained and keeping the participants safe, JJ is a force of nature!  Always cheerful and always hilarious, JJ keeps the action going… even in the rain and mud… if that’s what happens again. Don’t worry, audience, we have covered viewing stands!  Despite various injuries in the arena, Harrison keeps the show going on… and our audiences love him! Mahalo JJ!

JUSTIN MCKEE – Professional Rodeo Announcer

Announcing the Rodeo isn’t a job that should be taken lightly. It really isn’t just announcing the next event, it is so much more. That’s why the Pana’ewa Stampede Rodeo is bringing Justin MeKee to Hawai’i for the first time as our Rodeo Announcer. Justin will help explain to the crowd some important details about Rodeo events and techniques.


Bring the family, and especially the kids, for some great fun, fast and funny entertainment! Rain or shine, the Rodeo goes on. Laugh at the antics of our Clown JJ.  Cheer on the brave attempts to stay on an angry bull for the required amount of time. Learn something new about Hawai’i and our cultural heritage of the Paniolo. And don’t forget the food, souvenirs and branded t-shirts and caps.
